Crazy Egg Privacy

We value your privacy and the privacy of your website visitors.  Crazy Egg is compliant with the various pieces of privacy legislation across the globe including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and PIPEDA.

Our Snapshots feature is based on aggregated and anonymized data.   We do not store user IP addresses.

We believe it is important to ensure that sensitive customer information is kept private and this is reflective in how we process our Recordings feature.  When a visitor types in an input field, we mask the typed characters.  We've gone further and built a tool to block sensitive customer information that you have control over (and are responsible to handle) by excluding elements in recordings.  We also have a search feature you can use to identify any information captured and delete these recordings.

Within our Advance Tracking Options, it is possible for you to choose to pass in sensitive information that may identify your customers so you can complete a more in-depth analysis of your choosing.  These advanced features cannot be turned on simply by clicking a toggle or placing a checkmark, but rather require the involvement of your web development team.  Before implementing any Advanced Tracking Option (such as Recording Identifier, Custom User Variables) we recommend consulting your company Privacy Officer.
